History of the Newsboy and Bakerboy Caps.

This style of cap was popular in Europe and North America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries among both boys and adults amongst the working classes.

A great many photographs of the period between 1910-1920's show these caps were worn not only by newsboys, but by dockworkers, steel workers, shipwrights, farmers, artisans and tradesmen.

While these caps were worn by boys and men of all social classes they were also worn by the upper classes primarily for leisure activities and the style became associated with well-to-do country sportsmen, drivers and golfers.

Although traditionally a men's cap, it has seen a resurgence in the 2000's after becoming popular with affluent women and fashion houses.

Most recently this style of cap have featured in the popular BBC series "Peaky Blinders"
