Areas For Use
Will stick metals, crockery, glass, wood, china, dry concrete, rubber, fabrics, crystal, jewellery/precious stones and various hard plastics
Limitations
- Do not use to repair items that will contain food and drink.
- When replacing cap on bottom of nozzles, take care not to cross contaminate resin and hardener as this will prematurely cure adhesive in tubes.
- As the manufacturer cannot know all the uses its products may be put to, it is the user’s responsibility to determine suitability for use. If in doubt, contact Technical Services department for advice or refer to technical data sheet.
Application
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and are free from flaking material, dust, rust and grease. Roughen surfaces with sandpaper to improve adhesion. Remove cap from centre of twin plunger and snap off tab from bottom of nozzles. Use plunger to push out equal lengths of resin and hardener onto a clean disposable surface. Replace cap on nozzles, Mix thoroughly for 30 secs to 1 minute with mixing stick provided. Mixed adhesive is usable for only 4 minutes. Only mix small quantities in one go. Apply adhesive immediately to both surfaces. Assemble and hold/clamp until adhesive starts to cure. Note; Adhesive will cure faster at higher temperatures and conversely, slower at low temperatures. At 20`C, the adhesive sets hard in 10 minutes and is fully cured in 12 hours. Rapid Epoxy Adhesive is temperature resistant from -20 to +70`C. Carefully remove any residual adhesive with a sharp knife before adhesive sets.
Cleaning
Clean uncured adhesive from tools etc with acetone or nail varnish remover, protecting surrounding surfaces. Cured adhesive must be mechanically removed.
Storage
Store vertically in a cool, dry ventilated place between +5 and +25`C Protect from frost. Storage outside these parameters will dramatically reduce shelf life.
Shelf Life
36 months from date of manufacture in original unopened containers.
