Technical Data & Application

Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from grease. Remove any loose or flaking paint. Rub down bare timber and glossy surfaces with a fine waterproof abrasive paper. Prime metal surfaces with an appropriate primer before applying this, and avoid inhalation of dust & other substances when priming any surface. Prime bare surfaces with an appropriate primer.

Application
Do not stir before use and apply with a brush to either the wooden or metal surface. For best results load the brush generously and apply liberally and evenly. To achieve the best results on either surface, paint in one smooth motion and in one direction to achieve the best results.

Drying time

Depending on the nature & porosity of the surface, allow 6 hours drying between coats under normal conditions.

  • Touch dry: Within 1 - 2 Hours
  • Completely dry: Within 24 Hours

    Cleaning
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Clean all equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly to remove all paint from applicators.

    Coverage Guide
1.25 litres of Johnstone's Quick Dry Gloss will cover approximately 12m² depending on the nature & porosity of the surface.

    Storage
Replace lid onto the tin firmly and store in cool dry conditions between + 5°C and +25°C. Storage outside these conditions will dramatically reduce shelf life and may affect the product itself.
