All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from grease. Remove any loose or flaking paint. Rub down bare timber and glossy surfaces with a fine waterproof abrasive paper. Prime metal surfaces with an appropriate primer before applying this, and avoid inhalation of dust & other substances when priming any surface.
Stir well before use and apply by brush or roller to either the wooden or metal surface. When applying the coat of Johnstone's Quick Dry Satin, remember to paint in one smooth motion, in one direction to achieve the best results.
Depending on the nature & porosity of the surface, allow 4 hours drying between coats under normal conditions.
- Touch dry: Within 1 - 2 Hours
- Completely dry: Within 24 Hours
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Clean all equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly to remove all paint from applicators.
1.25 litres of Johnstone's Quick Dry Satin will cover approximately 15m² depending on the nature & porosity of the surface.
Replace lid onto the tin firmly and store in cool dry conditions between + 5°C and +25°C. Storage outside these conditions will dramatically reduce shelf life and may affect the product itself.
