All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from grease. Remove any loose or flaking paint. Rub down bare timber and glossy surfaces with a fine waterproof abrasive paper. Avoid inhalation of dust & other substances when priming any surface.
Stir well before use and apply by brush or roller to either the wooden or metal surface. Apply a liberal coat of Johnstone's Quick Dry Primer to the surface and paint in one smooth motion in one direction to achieve the best results.
Depending on the nature & porosity of the surface, allow 4 hours drying time between coats under normal conditions.
- Touch dry: Within 1 - 2 Hours
- Completely dry: Within 24 Hours
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Clean all equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly to remove all paint from applicators.
750ml of Johnstone's Quick Dry Primer will cover approximately 10m² depending on the nature & porosity of the surface.
Replace lid onto the tin firmly and store in cool dry conditions between + 5°C and +25°C. Storage outside these conditions will dramatically reduce shelf life and may affect the product itself.
