Technical Data & Application

Surface Preparation
The surfaces to be glued must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contaminants.

Application
All surfaces to be sealed must be sound, clean, dry and totally dust free in order for the bonding adhesive to work.

  • Cut the tip of the cartridge taking care not to damage the thread
  • Apply nozzle and cut cleanly at an angle of 45 degrees
  • Apply using a standard sealant gun
Direct Bond Method: Apply a 6mm bead in a zig zag along the length of the item to be fixed. For panels, centre beads at 350mm max.. Press into place and apply an even pressure onto the entire surface. Leave to cure for 24-48 hours. For extremely heavy items, provide temporary support whilst curing. Where gap filling is necessary, for example battens against an uneven wall, mark the areas where there is a larger gap and apply a thicker bead in these areas.

Double Stick Method: Apply adhesive as above. Immediately press firmly into position to ensure adequate transfer of the adhesive and then pull away to affect the adhesive transfer. Allow adhesive to dry apart for 5 minutes before pressing finally into position. Allow to dry for 24 hours before subjecting to traffic. • Tools and excess adhesive can be cleaned using white spirits or turpentine substitute.

Storage
Store in cool dry conditions between + 5 and +25°C. Storage outside these conditions will dramatically reduce shelf life.

Shelf Life
12 months from date of manufacture in unopened containers
