A 1/4 inch nap is a short-length paint roller cover (roughly 6mm) designed for applying paint to very smooth surfaces like plaster, metal doors, cabinets, and trim. It provides a smooth, thin, and precise finish with minimal stipple. Ideal for gloss, semi-gloss, and varnishes.
